What are spider veins?
Spider veins are dilated small blood vessels that have a red or bluish appearance. They commonly appear on the legs but may appear on the face and elsewhere.

How are spider veins treated?
In a majority of cases, a procedure called sclerotherapy is used to treat unwanted blood vessels.( In certain cases, laser treatment may also be an option)

One of several kinds of solutions, called sclerosing solutions, is injected with a fine needle directly into the blood vessels. Dr. Majorek will decide the solution that is best suited for you at your consultation.

How many treatments are needed? 
3-4 treatments are usually required, each lasting approximately 45 minutes. The treatments are usually three weeks apart.  Exact number of treatments will be determined at time of consultation with Dr. Majorek
