Sclerotherapy
Sclerotherapy is a procedure used to treat blood vessels (spider veins) or blood vessel malformations. The treatment requires that a solution be injected into the vessels, causing them shrink. Sclerotherapy is used for children and young adults with vascular or lymphatic malformations. In adults, sclerotherapy is often used to treat varicose veins.
